About SpaceYard
SpaceYard helps space projects find what they need to succeed — people, expertise, equipment, partners, funding, and visibility.
Every listing is a project with a public page: what it is, where it stands today, what help would matter right now, and how to reach the owner. No feed, no dashboard charts, no paywall on browsing.
What SpaceYard is
- A directory and bulletin board for serious space work
- A way for volunteers, educators, and specialists to discover opportunities
- Community infrastructure — closer to a flea-market of projects than a social network
What SpaceYard is not
- Not a crowdfunding or escrow platform (project owners link out; we do not hold money)
- Not a project-management tool or chat app
- Not a place for custom themes or arbitrary HTML — owners edit content; the platform owns layout
Founder projects
Some early listings are marked Founder project. Those are maintained by the SpaceYard team to seed the yard with real examples. Community projects belong to their owners and are labeled by profile, not by us.
Launching October 2026
SpaceYard is opening to founding members ahead of a soft launch at the Mars Society Convention. If you run a space project — analog research, education, open engineering, outreach — you are welcome to launch a project or create an account.
